ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues have acquired forward Alexandre Texier in a draft-day trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Texier heads to the Blues for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. St. Louis also intends to sign Texier to a two-year, $4.2 million contract extension.
Texier, a 24-year-old center from France, played in parts of five seasons with Columbus prior to the trade. He finished with career-highs in goals (12), assists (18), points (30) and games played (78) last year.
Texier has also represented France in several international tournaments, including the 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023 IIHF World Championships and the 2017 and 2018 IIHF World Junior Championships.
The Blues will nine draft pick selections in the 2024 NHL Draft starting at No. 16 overall.
