Colton Parayko’s goal 2:25 into overtime gave the Blues a 4-3 win over the Flames in Calgary on Thursday night. Parayko scored off the rebound of Robert Thomas’ shot. After a lengthy replay review, the goal did stand and the Blues had another victory.
Zack Bolduc and Thomas scored first period goals to give the Blues a 2-0 lead. The Flames would battle back to tie the game at 2-2. Pavel Buchnevich, who returned to the lineup from an injury and two game absence scored in the third period to St. Louis the lead again, 3-2. The Flames would answer back again to send the game to overtime.
Jordan Binnington stopped 36 of 30 shots to get the win in goal. The Blues improve to 4-0-1 since Jim Montgomery took over as head coach. The Blues road trip continues on Saturday night in Edmonton against the Oilers.
