ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues lost 3-1 to the Winnipeg Jets Monday night, ending a franchise-record 12-game win streak for the team.
Despite 23 saves from Joel Hofner and a goal from Pavel Buchnevich, the Blues were outdueled by the Jets due to a tiebreaking goal from Alex Iafallo, along with scores from Morgan Barron and Adam Lowry.
The Blues’ historic win streak began on March 15 and has stretched three weeks up to nearly the end of the regular season, giving St. Louis big-time momentum in a push for playoffs.
The win streak has included the following games…
1) March 15 @ Minnesota Wild (5-1)
2) March 16 vs. Anaheim Ducks (7-2)
3) March 18 @ Nashville Predators (4-1)
4) March 20 vs. Vancouver Canucks (4-3, OT)
5) March 22 vs. Chicago Blackhawks (4-1)
6) March 23 vs. Nashville Predators (4-1)
7) March 25 vs. Montreal Canadiens (6-1)
8) March 27 @ Nashville Predators (3-2)
9) March 29 @ Colorado Avalanche (2-1)
10) April 1 vs. Detroit Red Wings (2-1, OT)
11) April 3 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (5-4, OT)
12) April 5 vs. Colorado Avalanche (5-4)
The Blues record is now 43-29-7 (93 points) in the 2024-25 season and hold the first Wild Card seed in the Western Conference, two points ahead of the Minnesota Wild. The Blues have three games left in the regular season and would guarantee a playoff spot by winning at least three of them.
To close the regular season, the Blues continue their road trip with matchups against the Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken before coming home for the regular season finale on April 15 against the Utah Hockey Club.
