ST. LOUIS – It’s a busy week in the St. Louis Blues offseason. Monday marked the start of NHL free agency and Blues development camp. One day later, the Blues officially released next season’s schedule.
The St. Louis Blues will open the 2024-25 NHL season with three West Coast road games, the first a matchup with Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
One week later, the Blues will host the Minnesota Wild in their home opener on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
As previously announced, the Blues will face the Chicago Blackhawks in next season’s NHL Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. The league’s premiere outdoor hockey game is set for New Year’s Eve, marking the first time it isn’t played on one of the first two days of the new year.
The Blues will go head-to-head with their Central Division rivals 26 times next season. They will play four matchups against the Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, Utah Hockey Club and Winnipeg Jets. They will play three matchups against the Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars.
St. Louis will play every other Western Conference team three times and every Eastern Conference team two times. Like usual, the Blues will play at least one home and one road game against every NHL team this season.

- Tuesday, Oct. 8 @ Seattle Kraken (Season Opener)
- Tuesday, Oct. 15 vs. Minnesota Wild (Home Opener)
- Thursday, Nov. 7 vs. Utah Hockey Club (New NHL franchise)
- Tuesday, Dec. 31 @ Chicago Blackhawks (Wrigley Field – Winter Classic)
- Thursday, Feb. 6 vs. Florida Panthers (Defending Stanley Cup Champions)
The schedule also consists of ten instances of games on back-to-back nights and 18 weekend home games. The Blues will play a season-long six consecutive home games from Feb. 4-25, which will also coincide with a league-wide schedule pause.
Instead of an NHL All-Star Game next season, there will be an NHL 4 Nations Face-Off event featuring head-to-head matchups with the best players from the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland. That tournament will run from Feb. 9-21.
There will be a heavy road schedule in March with a season-long six-game road trip from March 2-15. The Blues will finish the regular season on April 15 with a home matchup against the Utah Hockey Club, the NHL’s newest franchise.
