For the 10th time in the last 11 years, the American League has won Major league Baseball’s All-Star game, with a 5-3 win in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday night.
The National League grabbed a 3-0 lead in the third inning on Shohei Ohtani’s three run home run off Collinsville native Tanner Houck. The American league rallied for three runs in their half of the inning to tie the game at 3-3. The Red Sox Jarren Duran supplied the winning hit, a two run homer in the 5th inning gave the AL a 5-3 lead, one they never relinquished.
Ryan Helsley was the only Cardinals All-Star. He did not pitch in the game.
