
Your weekly schedule for April 21 through April 27
May I say: Oof. After a promising series win against the Houston Astros, the St. Louis Cardinals went on to drop all four games against the New York Mets last week, including one walk off loss. There is not much relief to be had this week as they continue on in this stretch of 13 consecutive days of games.
This week will be another test of this young and hungry — “youngry” team. They face an Atlanta Braves team in a similar spot to themselves: battling to establish consistency and prove they belong among the contenders. But the real challenge looms at the end of the week when they take on the reigning NL Central champion Milwaukee Brewers. And of course, because it can never be easy, the forecast suggests rain could be a factor in both Atlanta and St. Louis throughout the week.
