Thursday, I asked you all in a poll brought to you by FanDuel which St. Louis Cardinals position player would have the better season in 2025 among Willson Contreras, Brendan Donovan, Nolan Arenado, and Victor Scott II. The results are in, and it’s clear you all have high hopes for Brendan Donovan.

Brendan Donovan emerged as the overwhelming favorite, securing 71% of the votes. You all clearly have confidence his abilities around the diamond as well as at the plate this season. Nolan Arenado, a perennial All-Star and former MVP finalist, came in second with 15% of the votes. Willson Contreras, one of the best hitters on the team in recent years, garnered 9%, while Spring Training standout Victor Scott II received 5%.
Donovan’s versatility and consistent performance can be something we tend to overlook, but not in this case. As the 2025 season continues, I plan to check in with some follow ups to see how accurate we were… to be continued!
