I didn’t set that number, to be clear — these are the betting odds over at FanDuel. Well, the verdict is in. A lot of you felt that number was too low, and honestly, I’m with you. Even if you don’t see this team as a serious contender, it’s hard for me to imagine them finishing below .500 this season. They are coming off a season where they won 83 games with a lineup that is not that much different and that was with an offense that notably underperformed. While there’s still a lot to for them prove, especially after these last few games, betting the over on 75.5 feels like a smart choice. I expect nothing less.
Now if they had set the over/under at 80.5, I would have had a tougher time.
