Cardinals have their first road series of the year.
After an up and down start that was mostly positive, the Cardinals are heading to the road for their first time this season. They face a Red Sox team that has an up and down start to their season as well. Hey it’s almost like a baseball season is up, then down, up, then down. They are been more down than up, losing a 4-game series to the Rangers to start the year and then winning 2 out of 3 against the Orioles, including their two most recent games.

STL – Masyn Winn – After a slow start to his season, Winn’s two most recent plate appearances were hits. Granted one of them was a bunt. But to the surprise of myself, the 9th spot in the order can come up to the plate with runners in scoring position a LOT. So hopefully, Winn can fully break out of his slump in this series.
BOS – Rafael Devers – You don’t want to be the team that faces the Red Sox when Devers breaks out of his slump. He has struck out in literally half his plate appearances to begin his season. He does have his only three hits in his past two games, so we appear to be the a likely team that will get the classic Devers bat. So hopefully, we can prolong his slump just a bit longer.
