Missouri quarterback Drew Pyne, a two-time transfer, put his name in the NCAA transfer portal again Tuesday, hoping to find his next home.
Pyne, 25, backed up Brady Cook for all of last season. He saw limited action in early-season tune-up games against Murray State and Buffalo. His brighest moment, however, came midseason when Cook went down with injuries. On November 9, Pyne started against Oklahoma, and put on a 143-yard, 3-touchdown performance which included an incredible touchdown pass to Theo Wease to tie the game, setting MU up for the win.

He also saw major minutes against Auburn, where he played the middle half of the game as Brady Cook went to University Hospital and back, before Cook returned to lead the team down the field for the win. Against Alabama, both Pyne and Cook were helpless against the Tide defense, with both signal-callers held under 50 yards each.
On the season, he completed 49 of 82 passes for 391 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions.
The New Canaan, Connnecticut native spent three years as a backup at Notre Dame, seeing little action until his third season there; when he played 11 games after starter Tyler Buchner went down for the season with a shoulder injury.
He then transferred to Arizona State, where he once again found himself on the bench, this time due to injuries.
Now that Pyne has jetted once again, questions have arisen over who will compete for the starting job this fall. Penn State transfer Beau Pribula made waves when he committed to MU in December, and long-suffering two-sport athlete Sam Horn will also vie for the job, as he is apparently healed from Tommy John.
MU also has the opportunity to use the spring transfer portal until April 25.
