Hoffman spent one season with the Hawkeyes but didn’t receive any playing time in his redshirt freshman year.
Out of Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kansas — Hoffman was a four-star prospect as a high school recruit and was ranked the No. 1 player in the state for 2024 per 247Sports.
During his time at Blue Valley Northwest, Hoffman was named to first team all-state as a senior and held the record for the school’s career receiving touchdowns.

There’s certainly a family connection here as Hoffman’s cousin is former Mizzou Women’s Basketball star Sophie Cunningham.
With four years of eligibility remaining, Hoffman joins a tight end room this upcoming season of Jude James, Dakotah Terrell, Jordon Harris, Brett Norfleet, and Vince Brown II.
