Mizzou offensive tackle Armand Membou heads to the New York Jets in the first round of the NFL Draft. He’s the highest Mizzou draft selection since Aldon Smith in 2011.
The first Missouri Tiger is off the board on Thursday night in Green Bay.
With the 7th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the New York Jets have selected Missouri Tigers’ offensive tackle Armand Membou.
With the selection, Membou officially becomes the 21st player in Mizzou Football history to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. Membou is tied for the highest Missouri overall draft selection since Aldon Smith in 2011.
Joining Bill Dellastatious (1946), Francis Peay (1966), Russ Washington (1968), Justin Smith (2001), Aldon Smith (2011), and Blaine Gabbert (2011), Armand Membou is the seventh Missouri Tiger to be a top 10 NFL Draft pick in the history of the program.
After spending three years at Mizzou, Membou is coming off a highly productive 2024 season where he landed on second team All-SEC honors and was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List. Per Pro Football Focus, he was only one of two offensive tackles with an 85+ run and pass block grade.

Joining Darius Robinson in 2024, head coach Eli Drinkwitz has produced first round picks in back-to-back years. That hasn’t happened since 2010-2011 under Gary Pinkel.
The last time Missouri had two first round drafts picks in the same year was in 2011 (Blaine Gabbert and Aldon Smith). That has a chance to happen this year if Luther Burden III hears his name called later tonight.
