Missouri kicker Harrison Mevis came up huge when his team needed him most this Saturday, making a 61-yard field goal as time expired to defeat No. 15 Kansas State.
Mevis missed a field goal earlier in this game, but that didn’t seem to shake his confidence.
The crowd at Faurot Field erupted into a frenzy when Mevis’ kick went through the uprights.
Here’s the game-winning field goal from Mevis:

After the game was over, college football fans started sharing an old photo of Mevis saluting to the crowd.
This photo of Mevis might just go down as the best meme of Week 3.

This Saturday’s clutch kick from Mevis is apparently the longest field goal in the history of the SEC, according to ESPN’s Stats & Info.
With the win over Kansas State this afternoon, Missouri improved to 3-0 on the young season.
Next up for Missouri is a showdown with Memphis on Sept. 23 at home.
