The Morning Commute for Thursday, January 2
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football returners.
Back-to-back 10-win seasons can certainly help high school recruiting and transfer portal success.
It also doesn’t hurt your chances of getting players to stick around for one more year.
It will definitely be a new look Mizzou Football team heading into next season, but there will be some significant contributors returning as well.
On New Year’s Eve, Daylan Carnell has announced that he will return to Missouri for his senior season — providing some much-needed experience at the safety position.

Johson should be one of Mizzou’s top wide receivers entering next season in his junior year. — as he’s fresh off of an impressive Music City Bowl performance.

“In Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology — the Tigers are the First Team Out of the field.”
There will be plenty of opportunities for Mizzou in SEC play to pad their NCAA Tournament resume.
“The formula is pretty simple. Hold serve at home, snag a few road games and you’re in the tournament.”
It’s not going to be easy in the best conference in college hoops, but the path is there.
“It just couldn’t have been anyone else. Brady Cook talked a lot about finishing his career on a high note prior to the bowl game, and he backed up all of his talk with his best game of the season and one of the best of his Tiger career.”
For one final time in his career, Brady Cook tops the MV3 from the Music City Bowl win.
“Mizzou got good performances from Tamar Bates, Tony Perkins, and Mark Mitchell.”
That’s the big three that will need to show up consistently during SEC play.
