The Morning Commute for Tuesday, February 4
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about 15th-ranked Mizzou Hoops
Perhaps it’s time to start taking Mizzou Basketball seriously (if you haven’t already).
Following their 88-61 road win over Mississippi State on Saturday, Missouri moved up five spots to No. 16 in the latest USA Today Coaches’ poll, and five spots to No. 15 in the latest AP Top 25.

There’s no doubt that Mizzou is playing like one of the best teams in the country right now. However, a road contest at No. 4 Tennessee on Wednesday night and a home date vs No. 10 Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon loom for the Tigers. It’s a challenging week ahead, but there are opportunities for this team to make even more of a statement.
Life in the SEC.

“Last week, Cunningham was traded to the Indiana Fever, where she’ll become a teammate of recent WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.”
A big move in the WNBA featured Mizzou’s Sophie Cunningham being traded to the Indiana Fever. Good luck in Indianapolis, Sophie!
Rank Gary Pinkel, Barry Odom, and Eli Drinkwitz from best to worst win percentage…
Good luck! Answers to come later this week.

“It’s exceedingly rare to face an AP ranked team on the road and win so convincingly.”
Statement made in Starkville.
At 17-4 overall (6-2 SEC), Mizzou has four Quadrant 1 wins and is still unblemished in Quad 2-4 games.
That profile is certainly is good enough to bump the Tigers up a seed line. In this latest edition of Rock-M-Tology, Mizzou comes in as a No. 5 seed.
Mizzou Basketball has their sights set on a top four seed in the NCAA Tournament, which is wild.
With the men on the road, check out some WBB photos from Cal featuring the buzzer beater from Grace Slaughter.
