The Tigers will square off against the Missouri Valley champions in the Round of 64.
March Madness is back. And as we’ve known for quite some time, Mizzou is dancing.
The Tigers were tabbed as the No. 23 overall seed in the tournament, landing as the No. 6 seed in the West Regional. The committee has paired them with the Drake Bulldogs, the three-time reigning Missouri Valley Conference tournament — aka “Arch Madness” —champions. And despite Clark Kellogg pegging Drake as the more likely winners during the Selection Show, opening odds suggest otherwise.
Missouri opens as a -6.5 favorite over Drake according to FanDuel’s Sportsbook. That’s right in line with KenPom, which also pegs Missouri as a six-point winner by their metrics. It’ll be a fascinating stylistic matchup. Drake’s Adjusted Tempo, according to KP, is 364th in the country, meaning they love to grind games to a halt. Missouri… well, we know how Missouri likes to play. And it ain’t slow.
