Play in the SEC. Get drafted in the NFL. A rule of life.
The NFL Draft is here. And wouldn’t you believe it, a lot of SEC players are going to get picked.
The Southeastern Conference’s dominance was called into question in the 2024 season as traditional powerhouses like Alabama and Georgia failed to fight their way through the College Football Playoff, leaving an all-Big 10 final the talking point of the season’s end. But when it comes to public perception, the SEC is still king… at least when it comes to developing pro players.
Ahead of tonight’s First Round, SB Nation asked fans which conference would likely have the most players picked in the draft, and the results were overwhelmingly skewed to the southeast (and midwest, in some cases.)

You can have the silly college football trophy — you know, the one that JD Vance broke?. We’ll take the legacy of turning college students into pros, thank you very much.
