The Missouri Basketball Tigers have cemented themselves as an NCAA Tournament “lock”. Now it’s about improving their seeding, and a top four seed is in play.
The Missouri Tigers are now 100% officially a lock to make the NCAA Tournament after an 87-74 Quad 1 road win over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
Now, Mizzou is playing for their postseason seeding — for the SEC and NCAA Tournament.
Though on Saturday, the NCAA Selection Committee revealed their Top 16 seeds on CBS. Missouri didn’t make the cut, but their current resume has them within striking distance down the stretch to earn a No. 4 seed. The Tigers will have a massive opportunity in hopes of earning a protected seed on Wednesday night vs Alabama.
After their fifth Quad 1 win of the season (with zero losses outside of Quad 1) and checking in at No. 16 in the NET rankings, Missouri has moved up to a No. 5 seed in this latest edition of Rock-M-Tology. In DataMizzou’s latest bracket projection over at Rock M Plus, Mizzou also comes in as a No. 5 seed.
