Catalon has bounced around since starting his college career at Arkansas in 2019. He spent fours seasons in Fayetteville before transferring to Texas in 2023, where he appeared in eight games for the Longhorns. He then took his talent to Sin City, where he starred for the Rebels this past season.
The Mansfield, Texas native registered five interceptions in 2024, which led the Mountain West. Catalon was also a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist last season, which is given to the best defensive back in college football. He’s picked off 10 passes in his career, including two pick-sixes (2020 against Ole Miss and 2024 against Houston). He has 272 total tackles, 13 passes defended, 9.5 tackles for loss and five forces fumbles for his career as well.

What they’re saying:
I will never say a bad thing about Jalen Catalon.
He is a GREAT young man and I’d give anything for injuries to not have plagued his time here.
But selfishly, this one hurts. I’m not mad at him, I hope he got a great deal. I’m just sad about it lol. https://t.co/bEeRJnN0zd
