A few hours ago we saw No. 1 Ohio State struggle in the first half against Rutgers. Right now No. 2 Georgia is suffering through a similar situation against Missouri.
In the first half against Missouri, Georgia took an early lead on a field goal only to give up a touchdown to the Tigers on the ensuing drive. Georgia responded with a touchdown of their own in the second quarter but spent the rest of the half punting.
Meanwhile, Missouri was able to tie things up before the half with a 37-yard Harrison Mevis field goal.
Suffice it to say, the Bulldogs are not getting off to a strong start to this game. But it’s also not the first time they’ve found themselves in this situation.

Back in September Georgia found themselves tied or trailing Auburn and South Carolina respectively. They wound up outscoring the Gamecocks 21-0 in the second half while they narrowly edged out Auburn with a fourth quarter touchdown to win that game 27-20.
But while South Carolina and Auburn are middling SEC teams, Missouri is the No. 12 team in the country. This could be a harder game to put away than Georgia fans may be ready to accept.
The game is being played on CBS.
